Honu Hale (Turtle House)
North Shore Oahu

We just wanted to tell you how much we appreciated your sharing your beautiful beachfront home with us. We had quite a lovely stay there, and were really impressed with the accommodations. We have rented homes on Oahu every year since 2001, and this was by far the nicest. Everything about the home, from the location to the quality of the workmanship, was superb. As a professional chef, I personally enjoyed how well equipped the kitchen was. We cook quite a bit when in the islands, and it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Also nice was access to kayaks and beach toys.
We won’t hesitate to contact you for our next visit.

I can certainly understand why they call Hawaii paradise. The accommodations were much more than I expected. Suzie and I along with the girls, and their fiancee's, truly enjoyed the stay.
It was a change sleeping and not having to listen to the air compressor, or heater ( because there were none to hear, HA!), was an unbelieveable pleasure. I can still hear the sound of the ocean waves just 35 ft, or so, from the bedroom.
We must have crowded 4 weeks of time into our 7 days. We did so much together and had a remarkable time as a family unit. We do plan to return to the islands.

The house was absolutely everything and more than we expected. It was PERFECT! We did exactly as we intended…..relaxed the entire week. We sat in the back yard watching whales jump, turtles swim by and the tropical fish. We even named one Herman, as he was there just about every morning. Truly, it was a wonderful experience we hope to repeat in a couple of years. This time we might even bring our kids! We got to meet your caretaker. She is a gem!! The groceries being there were perfect and the chocolate covered macadamia nuts were delicious!
I do have a quick question. Where did you get those beds, pillows, and sheets. We MUST find them again. I haven’t slept that well in years! I’m sure that the location had something to do with it, but I have to give a lot of credit to the bed.
Again, thanks for sharing your home with us. We left a note in the journal. That was a great idea. It really helped us decide where to eat and what else to do while we were there.

Absolutely incredible! We will never forget our fabulous time here
Turtles are everywhere! We thought everyone that wrote in this book was nuts until we took the kayak out to the left of the house in front of the blue houses and they were everywhere. Once you know what to look for you will see them everywhere.
Don’t let the rain ruin your day! Just swim in the ocean.

WOW! The difference between Waikiki and North Shore is Amazing! Our family has so enjoyed the week- waking up & hearing the waves- having coffee out by the seal wall and watching for turtles.

We had a terrific time at Honu Hale! The beds were terrific & the kids really enjoyed the ‘rain shower’!
We saw 4 turtles every day, sometimes maybe 25-50!!! From the house!

We enjoyed our stay and wish we could stay longer… This house is in a lovely location AND central to all our activities… far enough away from the crowded cities-but close enough if we wanted to go there.
Can’t wait to return!

Thank you thank you thank you . We are so grateful to be here and share in all of the wonderful things. Snorkeling was awesome ant the turtles are breathtaking. This experience has been one of the most wonderful in our entire lives.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at the Honu Hale! The house is beautiful and we couldn’t ask for a more perfect location. It is difficult to find a place for a family of 9 to vacation, but this house was the perfect size, very comfortable, and plenty for everyone to do!
It’s amazing the difference a short drive can make! Waikiki is a tourist trap and very commercialized. This is the ‘real’ Hawaii.

“The Hale was more than we ever expected! Lots of websites play up a place, yours does not do justice to Honu Hale. The house was beautiful, with every amenity we could possibly need. But the location is the best! While we went to Pearl Harbor our first day here, we drove the island yesterday and saw Waikiki. Anyone who would choose to stay in that mad house must be crazy! We got to see the real Hawaii… Turtles in the ocean just before sunrise, uninterrupted views, and waking to the sound of waves! Thanks for everything; we would love to come back. We’ll let all our friends know that Honu Hale is the only way to stay in Hawaii.”

This house is killer. The waves were fun. The house is real nice. It has a lot of cool stuff. We got to got kayaking and snorkeling. It has a perfect view of the ocean and the sunsets.
